The screen shots are in no particular order.
The minister of magic, Rufus Scrimgeour making a speech in front of press. He’s been appointed after Fudge was sacked. He’s trying to clean up all the mess Fudge left behind and prepare the Wizarding world against the darker times that are approaching.

Favourite ‘Avatar:The Last Airbender’ Episodes

I just had a weekend Avatar marathon and saw all three seasons of The last airbender back to back. It brought the love I had for this series when it originally aired and made me even sadder that movie turned out to be rubbish.
It’s a really difficult task to decide which ones are my favourite; heck I can’t can’t even decided my favourite characters since all them are amazing. Even Appa can carry a whole episode on his back.
5) The Western Air Temple
Zuku’s trying to repent but the good guys are not so forgiving. The following quote summarizes Zuko’s dilemma:
Zuko: Argh! Why am I so bad at being good!?
4) The Boiling Rock, Part 1 and 2
Sokka’s fight to regain his honour involves him making plans to help his father escape from the Fire Lord’s capture. These episodes fully utilize Sokka’s strengths and even have some Zuko and Sokka bonding. There were good glimpses of Suki and Sokka’s father. I especially loved how Sukki captured the Warden.
One Sokka, Zuko moment :
Sokka: Really? You didn’t leave anyone behind you care about?
Zuko: Well, I did have a girlfriend. Mai.
Sokka: That gloomy girl who sighs a lot?
Zuko: Yeah. (smiles) Everyone in the Fire Nation thinks I’m a traitor. I couldn’t drag her into it.
Sokka: My first girlfriend turned into the moon. (frowns)
Zuko: That’s rough, buddy.
3) The Tales of Ba Sing Se
This was one of my favourite filler episodes in which all of our characters had small stories of their own, even momo. One of the major reasons I found it to to be one of my favourites because at the end of Uncle Iroh’s story I just wanted to cry. One moment I cackling about how Iroh teaches a would be robber how to improve his attack position and in the other moment when the man pulls out his son’s picture I felt really really sad. This is what makes a great show.
Zuko: Uncle, we have a problem. One of the customers is on to us. Don’t look now, but there is a girl over there at the corner table. She knows we’re fire nation. Didn’t I say don’t look!
Iroh: You’re right, Zuko. I’ve seen that girl in here quite a lot. Seems to me she has quite a little crush on you.
Katara (to Toph): I know you don’t really care about these things, but I think you’re really pretty.
Toph: Thanks. I’d return the compliment, but I have no idea what you look like.
Iroh (to Lu Ten): Happy birthday, my son. If only I could have helped you.
(begins to sing)

2) Zuko Alone
Provides a wonderful back story for Zuko. It makes his guilt and his turn to the good side even more believable. Sometimes even one good parent is enough to leave a stamp on you for the rest of your life and this shows exactly how. He wants to crush and defeat and protect his honour but that good his mother’s influence left on him defeated the rage inside of him. And it left a bigger question though. WHERE IS ZUKO’S MOTHER!!!??
Young Zuko: Azula always lies. Azula always lies…
(fade to Zuko in the present)
Zuko: Azula always lies.
Young Azula: Uncle’s coming home.
Young Zuko: Does that mean we won the war?
Young Azula: No, it means Uncle’s a quitter and a loser.

Toph: Even though I was born blind, I’ve never had a problem seeing. I see with earthbending. It’s kind of like seeing with my feet. I feel the vibrations in the ground with my feet, and I can see where everything is: (fades to wide view) you, that tree, (Shows ant hill) even those ants. (Back to Aang and Toph)
Aang: That’s amazing!
Toph: My parents don’t understand, they’ve always treated me like I was helpless.
Aang: Is that why you became the Blind Bandit?
Toph: Yeah.
Aang: Then why stay here where you’re not happy?
Toph: They’re my parents, where else am I supposed to go?
Harry Potter Trailer Analysis *spoilers*

The Trailer’s out and wow! I must admit I am impressed. Some of my favourite scenes have made the cut and it looks like the rest of the just might make it too.
Good old Voldemort’s waiting for Harry Potter to turn up after he’s announced he would spare everyone if they brought him Harry Potter. Voldemort expects Harry to hand himself in.
And just as he expects Harry does turn up ready to die although for a completely different reason. I did think about how they would show Harry’s Parents and the rest of the Marauders. I want to see Sirius again!

Shyamalan’s been tweaking the characters to become emo fests.. I just know it.
SHYAMALAN: Well, there is a lot in the mythology. What I did was remove anything that was too slap-sticky and cheesy — the stuff that was there for the very little kids, but wouldn’t work in a live action feature like the fart jokes. I grounded the thing a little more. I grounded Katara’s brother for example [played by Nicola Peltz] and it brought a great new overall tone to the whole movie[link]
Oh dear.. I imagine it’s going to be a really dull movie.. The slapstick is kind of funny and is a part of the characters.. I really don’t want the characters to be barely recognizable.
I am not happy they’re banning facebook purely because we were boycotting it in the first place !!
This severely undermines the power of the people who were already acting on this issue. Now everyone’s going to think the lack of Facebook activity is because of government intervention whereas the boycott was already planned. Most of my friends had the image on the right as their profile pictures.

I was planning to boycott facebook for the next month because the whole ‘cartoon’ episode doesn’t offend me as much as the thought process behind it. It’s a bitchfest pure and simple; it only says ‘If you hate muslims then it’s time to bring out your crayons’. Honestly, the comics I’ve seen as yet aren’t very interesting or great pieces of freedom of speeches. I’ve had people on the street throw betters slurs at me.
Facebook Privacy?!

I really thought I wasn’t dumb enough to do something stupid with my settings, I really didn’t.. Well, I was wrong.
When facebook changed its something policy again I wasn’t bothered. Rarely have their changes affected me enough before for me to care now. I randomly clicked on their privacy message and forgot it even existed. Well, that was before every single newspaper I read started mentioning the facebook new privacy settings in their most read stories. I had a moment of meh another bunch of whiners.
I decided to check out my settings regardless.. Let’s just say I was bit shocked to find my profile privacy blasted wide open. My notes, my info and my wall was completely out in the open. I’ve never been gladder that I play farmville so much because my wall was full of stuff from it. At least to a non invasive viewer I had no social life and all was good. I reverted back to my old settings and gave a sigh of relief… Major emergency Over!
Then came the fun bits. Don’t you know a few people who you kinda seem to know but never really want to friend but are really curious about what they ended up doing after school.. well, now was the time to indulge in a level of voyeurism I never had before.
I now know one of them got married and had a baby.. anticlimatic much.. the baby’s cute and I know this because her mum’s albums gave away every single movement she made.
And there were others I couldn’t resist checking out. One guy I know has over 300 albums… fun, well he’s having way to much of it. I’m almost jealous 🙂
What worried me the most about this incident is that 2 out of 3 people I click on have their walls, albums, everything on display and I’m pretty sure they don’t want stuff like this aired out. While it’s easy to comment on how stupid people are about not reading something they click on this is facebook after all; most people login daily to grow crops and join a mafia.
